Obituary for Betty Jane Riffe (Coppage)

Betty Coppage Riffe, 84, formally of Cross Plains, Texas passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Smithville, Texas.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 17 at Atwell Cemetery in Callahan County, Texas.

Betty was born on April 7, 1933 in Crown Point, Indiana to the late to Benjamin and Mattie Zoe Osterdock-Coppage. She married James B. Riffe on January 31. 1954 in Crown Point, Indiana. They moved to Cross Plains, Texas and lived there many years. She had many close friends there and always thought of it as her home. She retired with AT & T Telephone company where she worked many years.

Betty is survived by a son, Jimmy Riffe and his wife Judy of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Tammy Patterson and her husband, Ricky of Smithville, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Coppage of Valpariso, Indiana; many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mattie Zoe Coppage; husband, James B. Riffee; three brothers, Earl, Howard and Glenn; two sisters, Cora Mae Lattz, Selma Ludwig.
