Debra L. Childers, 63, of Cross Plains, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas with Maxie Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Cut Cemetery in Cross Cut, Texas.

Debra was born on July 16, 1955 in Odessa, Texas to Rex Glendon and Ruby Geneva Vaughan-Maxwell. She married Gary Childers on May 11, 1974 in Cross Plains, Texas. Debra was a teacher aid at Cross Plains ISD. Debra was a Volunteer for the Cross Plains EMS. Debra is a member of Living Waters Ministries. Debra was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Debra is survived by her loving husband, Gary Childers of Cross Plains, Texas; daughter, Jessica Taff and her husband, Mack of Cross Plains, Texas; Coby Childers and his wife, Sarah of Deleon, Texas; 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; father, Rex Maxwell of Cross Plains, Texas; brother, Glenn Maxwell of Cross Plains, Texas.
